Jay Cameron has established himself as a successful playwright, film producer, radio personality, entrepreneur, consultant, musician and speaker. He is founder and CEO of Urban Change, a community outreach organization, which has reached more than 100,000 people worldwide through his cutting-edge stage plays and live seminars. Jay has inspired thousands to make significant, life-changing choices that have led them on the journey towards success. Jay Cameron started his public speaking journey at the age of 14 when he was invited to speak at the South Korean Embassy about the issues facing urban communities. Soon after, Jay began participating in speech competitions. After graduating high school, Jay moved to Atlanta, GA and began his career as a marketing and promotions consultant for radio station special events and concerts featuring top recording artists. As a result, Jay developed a solid reputation for his creativity and aggressive marketing strategies. Jay Cameron is considered by many to be a “marketing and promotions genius” because of the overwhelming success of the events he has sponsored and consulted over the past 20 years. Jay has been an event consultant for more than 15 years and has served as a marketing and promotions advisor to Fortune 500 companies and non-profit organizations that have reached more than one million people worldwide. Jay has also developed keen leadership skills under the instruction of New York Times Best Selling Author, Dr. John C. Maxwell. As a native Washingtonian, he is well aware of the challenges facing today’s communities. There was a desire in Jay to make a change and difference in his community; hence, the birth of his first stage play that eventually launched the phenomenon now known as SEXPOSE’. This cutting-edge, true-to-life production has been called “the most graphic stage play in America” and has created a “buzz” in cities all over the country for more than nine years. He has also written and produced: “For the Love of Money,” “The Church Mafia” and “Love, ‘Lationships and Drama,” all of which focus on real-life situations. Somehow, Jay finds and delivers effective solutions that will not only entertain you, but also help you make life changes. His upcoming productions include “Soul Ties” and “Where Do We Go from Here?” both of which focus on relationships and the “twists and turns” they can take. In addition, Jay Cameron has birthed “The Keep It Tight Crew” which is a campaign geared toward girls and teens as well as young adult women teaching them the importance of abstinence. He has a similar group for boys and young men, “Hold It Down” that focuses on abstinence, self-confidence and personal development. With a combination of passion, humor and dynamic delivery, Jay Cameron is also one of the most recognized voices in Washington, DC radio, having hosted two number one shows on one of the area’s top-rated radio stations. Presently, Jay is developing “Life Radio” and “Life TV” which will focus on encouraging people from all walks of life to make wise choices. As an avid video editor, Jay has produced films, television commercials, music videos and live seminars that address the issues facing today’s society. He also has plans to launch his own video production company. As a highly sought after speaker, Jay travels all over the country delivering inspiring messages of hope and change. Jay Cameron and his wife Latricia have produced a variety of family oriented seminars: “The Marriage Bootcamp,” Raising A Child When The Other Parent Is Missing In Action” and “Soul Ties – The Seminar” are a few produced and hosted by the Cameron team. In 2008, Jay will launch Life Camp; a performing arts enrichment camp for children ages 4 to 14 focusing on teaching children dancing, acting, singing, public speaking, video production while also focusing on building life skills, character and self esteem. Jay and Latricia are the proud parents of four children and currently reside in suburban Washington, DC.
